Hardik attended MK High School until the ninth grade when he decided to step away from formal education to pursue a cricket career. In 2013, Pandya was a part of the Baroda Cricket Club and played a pivotal role in their victory in the 2013-14 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. His standout performance came in January 2016 when he scored an unbeaten 86 runs, guiding Baroda to a 6-wicket victory against the Vidarbha cricket squad during the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy match. Pandya’s performance included hitting eight sixes during the match.

From 2015 to 2021, Pandya was a member of the Mumbai Indians in the IPL. In a crucial game that determined Mumbai Indians’ playoff chances, he scored 61 runs from 31 balls, leading his team to victory.
