International Career

He achieved the most runs during Pakistan A’s game against England in October 2015. The next day, on November 13, 2015, he made his One Day International debut while on the same tour. In August 2016, he faced England in his first Test.

Iftikhar Ahmed was initially selected to be a member of the Pakistani team competing in the 2016 ICC World Twenty20 Tournament. However, he was ultimately cut from the team due to a decline in his performance. But on March 4, 2016, he finally played in his first Twenty20 International match against Sri Lanka.
