In 2021, the couple made their engagement public, and they tied the knot on June 9, 2022, at the Sheraton Grande in Mahabalipuram. They recently became parents to twin boys on October 9, 2022, born via surrogacy.

Career

Vignesh Shivan initially approached Dharan to compose music for his short film and later presented it to the producers at Gemini Film Circuit. Impressed by his work, they agreed to collaborate with him to turn it into a full-fledged feature film. Subsequently, Silambarasan also joined the project, which was titled “Podaa Podi,” and the movie was released in 2012.

In June 2008, Shanaya Telefilms, co-producers of the film, unveiled a set of posters to promote the movie. Concurrently, Silambarasan and Vignesh traveled to Canada to scout suitable filming locations and negotiate an agreement with Mayor Ron Stevens to shoot in Orillia and Toronto.

After a production period of nearly four years, the film was released in October 2012, receiving a mixed response. Nevertheless, those involved in the project continued their involvement in the film industry, with Vignesh Shivan working as a lyricist, directing independent music videos, and making a brief appearance alongside Dhanush as an engineer in “Velaiyilla Pattathari” (2014).
